‘TERA’s’ in-game store, Valkyon Outfitters, now open (Photos)

Although “TERA” transitioned to the hybrid free-to-play model last week, the game’s in-game store had yet to open. Today, the store finally opened for business. Players can buy costumes, boosts, mounts, and more in the Valkyon Outfitters.

‘TERA’ will no longer require a subscription fee starting this February (Photos)

En Masse Entertainment announced today that the action-packed “TERA” MMO will be free-to-play this February. A subscription will still be available for purchase but it will no longer be required to play the game. The developer promises that new, existing, and former players will all benefit from the transition.

MMO Journal Entry 31

TERA’s combat wasn’t enough to keep us going.  It’s fun, we like playing it, but my god… everything else is just so traditional (questing, “endgame,” etc.).  Perhaps a few a months away will do us some good.

I’ve been pretty hard into Dragon’s Dogma.  It’s not an MMO; it’s not even a multiplayer game, but it’s been very entertaining.  The UR-Dragon fight is sort of co-op, though.  That’s interesting.  I like helping and being helped without actually having to see/deal with other people.

After seeing the short list of previewed changes for Guild Wars 2, I’m finally excited about the beta again.  Mainly… modifiers for key bindings!  I’m a little disappointed about tiered skills, but I’m more disappointed about tiered traits.  However, only the skills are listed in that blog so I don’t know.  Tiered skills sucks, but I’m not mad about it.  Tiered traits sucks and it upsets me quite a bit.  Either way, tiering that stuff doesn’t give me a sense of progression; it gives me a sense of being cockblocked from the things I want to use.

/sigh  XD

i think i’m sticking with the castanic.  i’m not a fan of their shoes, but the tier 8 cloth looks like a good appearance for her.

My impressions of my first 40 hours with TERA.

One of the best parts about TERA is group harvesting.  Yes, your group can harvest the same node and you get more for doing it.  IT’S AWESOME and it’s something I never thought I’d see again since Vanguard.
