Cathar race available in next ‘Star Wars: The Old Republic’ update

Last year at E3, BioWare announced that the Cathar will be added to the race options found in “Star Wars: The Old Republic.” Aric Jorgan lovers everywhere immediately started thinking of their perfect Cathar relationship soon to exist, but the wait was a lengthy one. Today, a preview video was posted on the official site with details on the race’s release date.

Reputation is coming to “Star Wars: The Old Republic.” Like other MMOs, reputation is a way to continue progressing in the game by completing missions and earning reputation with factions. This is no different in “Star Wars: The Old Republic;” however, the reputation earned is completely tied to a player’s Legacy.

MMO Journal Entry 34

I get that the whole point of free-to-play is to get money. That’s the point of pretty much everything, after all.

I’ve spent a pretty penny on Star Trek Online in the last two weeks. I’m just absolutely enthralled with it, but I’m not in hurry to sub to it. But because it’s free to download and play, it got my money when I saw something I wanted.

The key word here is “wanted.” I wanted something shiny like the Atrox so I bought it. I didn’t need it to function in the game. With Star Wars: The Old Republic there’s a whole lot I’ll NEED to buy before I can feel like I’m playing a full game. After I’m finished buying what I feel I need, I’ll be out $20-$30 with nothing fun to show for it. Unlocking crew skills, quick bars, artifact quality gear usage, the ability to hide my helm, etc. are all things I need to make that game enjoyable. After paying for all that, I’m in no mood to gamble with BioWare packs and all that stuff.

I’m not going to write it off completely, but I really don’t want to pay for stuff like quick bars and the ability to hide my head slot. I just… I guess it’s good I didn’t want to play it too badly XD

This is because we, as Sith, are the business while our two smuggler companions, Andronikos and Vette, are the party

Business in the front; party in the back.
